General guest post sites

What to check before buying a general link

1. Who controls the page your link would sit on: the site’s editors, a contributor network, or any user?
2. Is the section relevant to you, even if the whole site isn’t? Judge the section’s own traffic and topics.
3. Platforms with user-generated content usually mark links nofollow or ugc. Check the rel attribute before paying.
4. Contributor and sponsored sections on large sites fall under Google’s site reputation policy. Read it before you buy there.
